Credit Representative

JOB PURPOSE:

Primary front-line customer service representative that is responsible for creating a welcoming environment and impression for our customers. The key job functions will be to answer general credit related customer inquires (current balance, application status, etc.) while redirecting advanced questions the next appropriate level.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Welcome customers warmly when they call Monsanto’s credit department
  • Document and maintain accurate customer information within Monsanto’s systems
  • Establish in-depth knowledge of Credit guidelines to serve as informational source for customers and internal Monsanto contacts
  • Manage routine account-related inbound customer requests
  • Proactively administer outbound calls as necessary
  • Process inbound requests and ensure in compliance with all Credit guidelines
  • As necessary Work with customer operations to ensure accurate delivery and processing of claims
  • Assist Monsanto Credit Department in resolving customer credit issues
  • Establish positive relationships with Monsanto Team and customers
  • Participate in training to maintain and acquire additional job knowledge and skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in customer service
  • Excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, information retention
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure as needed
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and high degree of accuracy
  • Intermediate competency with Microsoft Office, Data Entry and Telephone Skills
