Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:  The objective of the Pricing Data Analyst will be to maintain pricing master data, terms, marketing programs and discounts in SAP for Crops, Bio Ag, and Crop Protection.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of pricing master data, terms, marketing programs, and discounts in SAP and ancillary systems (PCI, Vistex, Compass, Vision, etc.) in support of crop protection, seed, seed treatment, BioAg, Westbred, and licensed seed businesses, supporting different business models and systems across brands.
  • Supports US Domestic, US Export, for all areas with the exception of BioAg which is transfer pricing is supported for both the US and Canada.
  • Collaborate with other business functions (finance, product management, team leads, demand planning, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate pricing data maintenance – supporting transactions, downstream processes, and possessing a basic understanding of key business processes / supporting information systems/databases.
  • Coordinate with IT support personnel to ensure enhancements and production support items are prioritized, requirements and design completed, tested, and implemented in a timely manner.
  • Customer sales transactions involvement, as necessary, to complete order process related to changes in pricing master information.
  • Drive best practice process improvements based on investigation/analysis and solicited feedback, including updates to audit and training materials.
  • Independently conduct research needed to accurately establish pricing master data records and resolve issues.
  • Proactively create process documentation and lead cross training for team members and other related groups and functions.
  • Ability to manage/lead small projects within and outside the team.
  • Provide actionable insights to move toward solutions – data stewardship.
  • Competency to develop subject matter expertise in pricing data – data records, processes, and downstream systems.
  • Provide weekend and after hour coverage – as needed, on a rotating basis – to support business operations.
  • Key Business Metrics:  timeliness and accuracy to support operational excellence.

MinimumJob Requirements: (Education, Experience, Skills)

  • BA/BS in Business related field and/or 5+ years of customer service in an office environment
  • Proven analytical skills

  • Multitasking and ability to prioritize workload
  • Detail oriented
  • Intermediate computer skills utilizing MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access
  • Intermediate System skills proficiency – SAP, IRD, Access, Microsoft Office Suite, Web-based technologies/Applications
